The Lost Columbus

This quick tour (1 day/1 night) is ideal for those with limited time and don't want to miss seeing one of the Wonders of the World.

 

Two options:

1. Friday 11 November (4 pm) – Saturday 12 November (4 pm), including one night, or

2. Saturday 12 November 6 am – 8 pm (same day trip)

 

Option 1
We'll aim to leave by 4 pm on Friday 11 November, immediatly after the conference from the Imperial Hotel, to avoid traffic. Arriving in time for a late dinner at your hotel in Agra.

Get up early the next morning, before the sun rises and watch the sun gently kiss the Taj Mahal, a breathtaking moment! Read Mumtaz Mahal’s cenotaph “HELP US OH LORD TO BEAR WHAT WE CANNOT BEAR” and try not to connect it to her death while giving birth to her fourteenth child.

We return to the hotel for breakfast. A guided visit to the Agra Fort concludes this trip. It’s back to Delhi after that, arriving in the late afternoon.

 

Option 2

You'll leave at 6 am on Saturday morning 12 November and drive to Agra, reaching around 10.30 am. There you will visit the Taj Mahal and see the late morning sun reflect on the world’s most tender, heartbreaking, beautiful tribute to a lover lost.

After that it's time for a well deserved and delicious lunch, followed by a guided visit to the Agra Fort. We drive back to Delhi, arriving around 8 pm.
