Discover Rajasthan from the saddle!

Love horses? We do. Take a breather from the automobile pace and discover the beauty of Rajasthan on horseback; take it all in as you ride from the desert into the green hills, towards the lakes, passing villages, forts and temples.

Stay at a Rawla or a mansion. Genteel aristocratic families bring a personal touch to their ancestral homes, now lovingly crafted into classic heritage hotels, with luxurious modern amenities to supplement time-honoured hospitality.

Or stay closer to nature and camp in the open. Tents, equiped with all modern comforts will allow the perfume and melodies of nature to slip through the canvas.

You will be accompanied by professional horse-handlers and ride expertly schooled, gentle, experienced horses.

Traveling with people who don’t ride? No problem, they can join the whole tour by jeep.

Meet an important tribe of the Marwari-Jodhpuri region, the beautiful Marwari horse. Their most distinctive feature are their inward curving ears (they’re good listeners for any rider). At between 14 and 16 hands in height, with a deep seat, they are easy and comfortable at both trot and canter. Their bloodlines come from the Arab steed and have great endurance but they are brought up indulgently giving them the geniality of a family pet.

Break your journey for a few days in the saddle and continue by car. A perfect before or after could be:

 - Jaipur and Pushkar

 - Shekhawati

 - Udaipur and a countryside stay

 - Jodhpur and a Royal village stay
